Taylor-Elan King (b. 1992) is a New York native and a mixed-media artist/content creator. At an early age, art played a major role in learning, and it was King’s mother that introduced her to colors, values, proportions and it was her love of American and Japanese animation that would later, further inspire her creations and eye for aesthetic. King’s mother, a woman of many talents, reinforced her skills in jewelry making, painting, antique restoration and detailing, always emphasizing the importance of attention to detail, quality of craft and patience. PATIENCE and intention behind every brush stroke.

During her undergraduate studies at a private University in Long Island, NY, King concentrated in Mixed Media with a Minor in Art History, graduating in May of 2014 with a B.F.A. She would immediately go on to continue her studies and education in the arts, acquiring a Masters of Professional Studies in Arts and Cultural Management, from Pratt Institute.
Working in mixed-media, and through her ability to identify canvas, in different forms, King creates art that highlights her passions and emotional connections, and uses her abilities as an outlet to unapologetically express her views on cultural, social, and political injustice and how such experiences have shaped her.
